Kavya fulfills her childhood dream

In Madampi, Kavya Madhavan and Mohanlal play romantic pair for the first time. So finally, she is fulfilling her dream by acting in Madampi as Mohanlal's heroine. The shooting of the film is progressing in Ottappalam.

Mohanlal plays Gopalakrishna Pillai, a kind-hearted money-lender who knows how to get his money and interest back. He loves his mother tongue and teaches at the local tutorial college. Kavya plays the role of the manager of a bank which opens a new branch in the village much to the dismay of Gopalakrishna Pillai. In the first half of the film, Kavya (screen name Jayalakshmi) is his bitter foe, but the pair predictably gets romantically involved in later stages.

The highlight of the movie is Mohanlal reciting in his own voice a Malayalam poem written by Anil Pachuran. The movie is written and directed by B. Unnikrishnan.
