Kavyam - A film with strong message!

Movie Kavyam, the debut directorial venture of Aneesh Varma and Santhosh, is a film that deals with many social issues with the backdrop of Kerala Namboothiri Community. Suresh Gopi and Navya Nair will be playing the lead roles as traditional Namboothiri couple.

According to the story, the protagonist who has left home years, returns with his young wife Umadevi and a child. But the social set up does not allow him to lead a peaceful life. Finally, he takes a drastic decision. The script has been worked out as a contrast between traditional and modern values based on the principles of commercial gains and consumerism.

Manoj K. Jayan, Vjayaraghavan and Kaviyoor Ponnamma are also in the cast. The music is scored by Kaithapram Viswanath, Alamcode Leelakrishnan written the script. Saji Kadambazhippuram produces the film under the banner of Sai Baba Films. Kavyam is currently being shot in locations near Ottapaalam.
