Makan: Roopasree's Malayalam Debut

Debutant Jaya Lal Poonkunnam is directing Makan in which Bala and Roopasree are in the lead roles. This is Roopasree's first Malayalam film; she has acted in several Telugu and Tamil films. She dons the role of an orphan named Jessy; Bala's onscreen name is Krishna. They meet in a city and falls in love. Krishna gets permission from his parents to marry Jessy but her parents had parted to live separately. So she leads the life of an orphan. Now, both start an effort to get Jessy"s parents together.

Babu Parambath is producing this film under the banner of Parambath Films. Dialogue and scripts are by Pradeep Peringotukara. Prasanth handles the camera and lyrics are by Banerjee. Music is by Sajeev Palackal. Other cast members include Harisree Ashokan, Sai Kumar, Indrans, Manikandan, Anoop Chandran, Narayanan Kutty, Babu Parambath, Paul Komban, Bindu Panicker, Kala Ranjini, Ambika Mohan and Geetha Vijayan
