Mohanlal and Sureshgopi team again !

After playing director Udayabhanu in the Roshan Andrews-directed Udayananu Tharam, which gave this megastar's career a timely boost in 2005, Mohanlal is once again taking the director's megaphone on-screen in Pakal Nakshatrangal directed by Rajeev Nath, an offbeat filmmaker who made yesteryear hits Janani and Aham.

Set in the backdrop of cinema, Pakal Nakshatrangal tells the story of a script writer-director named Siddharthan getting entangled in a murder, while writing a murder mystery. One of the highlights of the movie is that Sureshgopi is also playing a cameo in this film. Mohanlal plays Siddharthan; Suresh Gopi's onscreen name is Vaidhyanath.

The film has Murali, Anoop Menon, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathi Sreekumar, Maniyan Pillai Raju, Arun, Sindhu Menon, Sukumari and Surabhi. It has started rolling in Thiruvananthapuram. The script of Pakal Naksthrangal is by Anoop Menon and camera is by Shyam Dutt. The shooting will also take place in Mumbai.
