Mammootty
This is not the first time; multinational companies have sought out Malayalam stars for their star value. Now, software giant Microsoft is in the process of signing up megastar Mammootty as a brand ambassador for a computer literacy programme.

Mammootty is in discussions with Microsoft for the launch of the statewide education project. He wants to launch the project to help make all sections of the society IT-literate. He is also the brand ambassador of the state-sponsored Akshaya IT programme, South Indian Bank and Kalyan Silks.

Earlier, Coca Cola, one of the biggest global brands, wanted to associate with the star and had offered him Rs 2 crores, but Mammootty rejected the offer because of the protest from many political and social organizations in Kerala, which are against the Cola giants.
