Parunthu storms the theatres

Parunthu, Mammootty's next big movie after the super duper hit Annan Thampi which broke all collection records, is going to be released today in 72 centres across Kerala. This release comes two weeks after the release of Mohanlal's Madambi, which has already been declared a hit. Both the super stars portray the characters of moneylenders and rumours are flying that the storylines are also similar.

To add to the heat, Madambi has a dialogue by Mohanlal which Mammootty fans consider to be a direct attack on Paruthu. Apparently, the crew of Paruthu, who had finished shooting nearly a month ago, shot for an extra two days after the release of Madambi. The producers explained that they were shooting some scenes including comedian Suraj Venjaramoodu. But Mammootty fans would like to believe that it will be 'tit for tat' and are eagerly waiting for the release of Paruthu to confirm it.

The story of Paruthu is by T.A. Razak and direction is by Padmakumar. In some centres, the film will be released as early as 12 noon.
