Pazhassi Raja on Vishu

The big budget Pazhassi Raja, which has been shooting for more than a year, is almost complete and ready for release on Vishu. The film by M.T. and Hariharan team is termed another historical blockbuster. M.T. is famous for interpreting historical and mythological stories differently.

The project began in 2007 and got delayed for many reasons. Mammootty is taking initiative to complete the film since he has a meaty role as Pazhassi Raja, one of the early rulers who fought against the Britishers. The last schedule will be completed in Madikeri in Karnataka.

Kannada film actor Suman dons the role of Pazhayaveedan Chandu, the villain Tamil film actor Sarathkumar dons the role of Edacheena Kungan. After completing this film, Mammootty will join the third schedule of Kutty Sranku directed by Shaji N. Karun.
