Meera receives best actress award!

Leading Malayalam – Tamil actress Meera Jasmine received the best actress award from the Kerala Government for her extraordinary performance in Ore Kadal.

Though the actress is banned by the AMMA unofficially, the Kerala Government is not ready to leave out her name in the award recipients list. Yesterday she collected the prestigious award from the Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandhan in a lavish ceremony.

The unofficial ban on Meera Jasmine has been imposed because of her coming late to the sets and keeping stalwarts like Mohanlal and others waiting. Interestingly Meera collected the award from the Kerala Chief Minister after he arrived at the venue two hours late!

The noted absentees at the function were Mohanlal, Jagathy, Sreenivasan and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy!
