Meera Jasmine as Mammootty's lady love!

Meera Jasmine, the actress known for her excellent acting skills as well as controversies, will join hands with Megastar Mammootty once again. She plays Mammootty's lady love in Shaji N Karun's much-talked-about film Kutty Shranku, another performance-oriented movie with strong story base.

Though the movie was announced nearly six months ago, the shooting dates were frequently changed by the director due to the non-availability of suitable actress for the lead role. Last month the director had chosen Meena for the role. But now he has changed his decision.

Earlier, both Mammootty and Meera have played in Ore Kadal, which bagged a lot of awards for its realistic background and excellent performances of them. Shaji N Karun will be expected to start the movie by the end of next month.

Based on a famous novel in Malayalam, the film explains how the changing climates of both social and environmental affect the present life style. According to the director, the film will be screened in a grand premiere held at Venice by the end of September!
