Meera Nandan not interested in glamour roles

Actress Meera Nandan, who is now doing her first Tamil film (Valmiki) for Media Company Ananda Vikatan, says that she is not interested in glamour roles. The actress wants only to do meaningful family-oriented films.

The 17-year-old Kochi-based former TV anchor, who made her debut opposite Dileep in Mulla, says, "I will act if I get roles like the role of Vandana in Valmiki or Lachi in Mulla. If I continue to get such roles, I will continue to act. Else, I will have to think a bit. Also, my figure does not suit glamorous roles."

"Actually, I never had any intention of acting in Tamil movies. But the story of Valmiki, my role in the story and the technicians associated with it impressed me so much that I accepted the role." Meera Nandan has just finished school and is looking to join college.

Akhil, who made a memorable debut in Balaji Sakthivel's Kaloori is the hero; the film will be directed by Anantha Narayanan. Music is by maestro Illayaraja and camera is by Azhagappan.
