It seems that Meera Jasmine's bad luck in films is creeping up into her private life also. The latest rumour is that Meera's fiancee mandolin artist U. Rajesh has secretly married a woman named Santhi. This gossip has stunned the film world and Meera alike. U. Rajesh, in a telephonic interview published in a Kerala daily, has strongly denied the allegations. "It is nothing but rumours spread by our enemies. All persons in the field have to face such type of gossips. It is true that our marriage will be only after some time, but we will surely marry. I believe Meera understands me. There is no problem between us," Rajesh said.

Meera is currently facing a ban in Malayalam films and is concentrating on Telugu film industry and Kannada film industry. She is not on very good terms with Tamil film industry also.
