Mohanlal takes up Kargil

Mohanlal and Major Ravi, director of the super hit Keerthi Chakra are teaming up for this year's Onam flick, Kargil, announced a few months ago. It is to be an army story based on the first-hand experiences of the director, who has been a real life Indian Army Major.

Kargil, a big budget flick based on the Kargil war, will be produced by Santhosh Damodaran under the Damor Films banner. Mohanlal will start shooting for this film after completing Maadambi, Swapnamalika and Twenty:20 that are lined up until Onam.

Major Ravi's third film, Kargil comes after Keerthi Chakra and Mission 90 Days. He plans to bring Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal together for another film Kandahaar, after Kargil.
