Karthika Thirunal: Not so for Mohanlal

The buzz is that Mohanlal has decided against the T.S. Suresh Babu-directed Karthika Thirunaal Karthikeyan. It was first slated to start shooting in April.

Mohanlal has told the director of hits like Kottayam Kunjachchan and Kizhakkan Pathrose as well as a number of flops, to cool his heels for some time as he's unhappy with the given script and subject.

Three heroines, Padmapriya, Parvathy Melton and Namitha, were planned in the movie. O.N.V. Kurup, Sreekumaran Thampy, Shibu Chakravarthy and Chunakkara Ramankutty - lyricists and M G Radhakrishanan, Alex Paul, Alphonse and Deepak Dev - music composers were also to collaborate on this film.

The project seems to have been shelved for the time being; Mohanlal is gearing up for the B. Unnikrishnan-directed Maadambi.
