Mammootty-Mohanlal fans fight over posters

The rivalry between the fan clubs of Mammootty and Mohanlal is not a discreetly-kept secret in Kerala. The war between the two has been going on for years ever since the two became superstars. An average Malayalee holds both the superstars in the same regard and the fan bases of both are approximately equal. Now, with the release of the much awaited AMMA's magnum opus Twenty:20 looming large, the fan clubs have one more reason to clash.

It is the poster displayed before the release of the film which has created much tension in Malluwood. The poster shows Mammootty in the centre with Mohanlal and Dilip on his left and Sureshgopi and Jayaram on his right. Mohanlal fans complain that Mammootty has been given centre stage while Mohanlal is as big a star as Mammootty. The scuffle between the two fan clubs has taken to the road, Mohanlal fans in Thiruvananthapuram are reported to have cut off Mammootty's head in the posters, while fans of Mammootty in many places in Malabar area have tarred and blackened the face of Mohanlal!

Among all this havoc, AMMA has is calling for peace and giving a clarification that Mammootty is the senior actor among all and so he appears in the centre. Anyway, it seems that Twenty:20's fate is to remain in controversy. Let us wait and see what happens after its release this month.
