Mohanlal in animation film

Manikandan, Mollywood's first animation flick is under way at Kochi. Based on Swami Ayyappa, this is first time the legend Mohanalal is captured as a full-length feature film.

Cincinnati USA is producing this novel venture. Next Diwali should see this milestone flick greeting Indian audiences. "The team's treatment of the movie and the powerful screenplay captures the Legend"s magnitude," says Nalini Singh of Cincinnati, who oversees the production.

After the Malayalam version, the movie is set to be dubbed in other South Indian languages, with subtitles in English/ Hindi. The Indian animation industry believes this movie will open up new avenues. Maestro Ilayaraja has scored the music.

Superstar Mohanalal is also lending his weight to the production by providing the voice for Pandhalam Raja, a pivotal figure in this epic tale.
