Navneet replaces Nayantara

It was shocking, unexpected news for the Malayalee fans of Nayantara that their ravishing actress is not acting with Mammootty in the new film Parunthu. But a few days later, another piece of good news comes as a consolation to these same fans. The crew of Parunthu brings another glamour-conscious tall siren, none other than Navneet Kaur.

This Punjabi kuddi will join the sets by the next week instead of Nayantara, who was unable to join as she is busy in Kollywood shooting for Rajinikanth's Kuselan and Ajit's Aegan.

Navneet Kaur, who has been in the industry for quite some time without tasting much success, began her rollercoaster career in Telugu with R.P. Patnaik's Sreenu Vasantha Laxmi, and became very famous with her TV commercials and music albums.

Mammootty will play the lead role as a private financier named Gillette Purushothaman, an iron heart for collecting money by any means from his borrowers. The movie will feature Jayasurya and Kalabhavan Mani in important roles. Music will be handled by the Gireesh Puthencherry-Vidyasagar team. The script by T.A. Razak.
