Nayantara is the highest paid actress

Who can beat ravishing actress Nayantara in the South Indian movie industry? With her accepting a Tamil movie (opposite Vijay directed by Prabhu Deva) for a total fee of one crore (ten million), she will become the highest-paid Malayalee actress in Indian films.

This untitled movie brings Vijay and Director Prabhu Deva together again after the success of Pokkiri. The shooting of the film, produced by Ayngaran International, will begin in June 2008.

Despite her popularity and busy schedule, she is so affectionate to Malayalam cinema that she recently appeared in a song for free for the new Malayalam film Twenty20 produced by AMMA. This film, the brainchild of actor Dilip, also features Prithviraj, Kunchacko Boban, Indrajith and Manikkuttan.
