After
a
long
time,
Nedumudi
Venu,
one
of
the
most
versatile
actors
in
Malayalam
film
industry
who
can
play
several
musical
instruments
and
recite
poetry
with
the
same
affability
that
he
exudes
while
giving
life
to
umpteen
characters
on
the
screen,
is
acting
in
a
Tamil
film
Poi
Solla
Porom,
a
comic
entertainer.
Poi
Solla
Porom,
directed
by
Kireedam
fame
Vijay,
is
the
first
venture
by
director
Priyadarshan
as
a
producer.
To
be
released
on
September
12th,
the
movie
is
the
Tamil
remake

laugh
riot
Khosla
Ka
Ghosla,
starring
Anupam
Kher,
Boman
Irani,
Ranvir
Shorey
and
Parvin
Dabas.
Poi
Solla
Porom
has
been
in
the
news
for
many
reasons,
one
among
them
being
of
course
that
Nasser
and
Nedumudi
Venu,
two
giants
of
comedy
are
in
the
cast.
Interestingly,
this
comedy
fare
doesn't
have
any
of
today's
comedians
in
its
credits.
Instead,
it
has
some
industry
veterans
like
Mouli,
Nasser,
Delhi
Ganesh,
Lakshmi
and
Nedumudi
Venu.
This
is
a
very
simple
and
uncomplicated
comedy
of
how
a
man
and
his
son,
along
with
some
help
from
a
couple
of
drama
artistes,
outwit
the
land
mafia
who
grab
his
land.
The
movie
has
a
youthful
cast
c
Karthik
onsisting
of
Karthik,
(who
has
done
memorable
supporting
roles
in
movies
like
Kanda
Naal
Mudhal),
debutant
Preethi,
Omar,
John
Vijay,
Balaji,
and
Justina.
The
movie,
according
to
the
filmmakers,
will
be
a
milestone
in
Tamil
cinema
in
the
genre
of
humour.
