The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy (KSCA) has decided to introduce online booking for balcony seats at venue theatres of the 13th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) to be held from December 12 to 19. The decision was taken to avoid rush at theatres just before the screening time during the festival.
Delegates will also be able to access the internet from the venue theatres, where internet kiosks will be set up exclusively for the delegates who can book the seats a day or two days in advance, Academy Chairman K.R. Mohanan has said to a national newspaper.
However, the Academy is yet to decide whether it should directly put up the kiosks or seek the service of an external agency for the purpose. More than 7,000 delegates attended the festival last year, and the number is expected to increase this year. Meanwhile, online delegate reservation for the 13th IFFK has already begun. The last date for registration is November 30th.
The Malayalam films to be screened during the festival are Renjth's Thirakkatha, M. Mohanan's Kadha Parayumbol, Madhupal's Thalappavu, Rupesh Paul's Laptop, T.V. Chandran's Vilapangalkkappuram, Anjali Menon's Manjadikkuru and Jayaraj's Gulmohar.
