Still from Pazhassi Raja
Mammootty's big budget flick Pazhassi Raja, which has been under production since August last year, has once again started its shoot at picturesque Kudaku. This shooting schedule (sixth) will continue for two weeks.

Pazhassi Raja, the magnum opus of director Hariharan, has been facing a lot of problems to complete its shooting, mainly because the movie requires big sets and effective artworks since it is a historical story. According to the present plans, the movie will hit the Kerala screens during Onam.

Pazhassi Raja depicts the story of Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja who fought against the despots of the British East India Company in Kerala in 1796, even before The Sepoy Mutiny of 1857. Tamil actor Sarath Kumar makes his debut in Malayalam with this film, playing Edachena Kunkan, the best friend of Pazhassi Raja.
