Lal Jose casts Miss Kerala runner-up

Rima Kallungal of Thrissur, the Miss Kerala 2008 first runner-up, had been cast as the heroine in Mazhai Varaipokirathu directed by Lal Jose, his first film in the Tamil film industry. The hero will also be a debutant. Rima will don the role of a shepherdess.

The story is about village folks whose lives depend on the annual rains and they grow their crops within this period. Anand Swamy, a famous Tamil drama artist, is also in the cast.

James Albert, script writer of Classmates, has penned the script. The shooting will start on December 16th. The locations are Theni, Tuticurin and Tirunelveli. Lal Jose is an accomplished director in Malayalam who is known to take up simple but diverse themes for his films.
