Roma takes up a youthful film

Model-turned-actress Roma Asrani rose to fame with her debut movie Notebook, which also bagged her several awards, including the best newcomer award by Asianet TV, Amrita TV and film critics. Though her parents hailed from Delhi, she has settled in Chennai with her parents.

The actress has been receiving several offers, but she is very choosy about her roles. Her second Malayalam film, July 4, starring Dileep in the lead, was a debacle but she regained fame with her third Malayalam film, Chocolate, starring Prithviraj in the lead. She has also done a music album with Prithviraj and Vineeth Srinivasan. Roma has acted in the Tamil film Kathale En Kathale.

She has done several advertisements before entering cinema. The talented actress has now signed a new youth-centric film by Kamal. The new untitled film, also starring Narain, Indrajith, Jayasurya, Meera Jasmine and Samvrutha, is expected to hit floors next month.
