Sheela, a child artiste-turned-heroine, who was appreciated for her performances in Vedha, Kanna, Ilavattom, Arindhum Ariyamalum, Seethakoka Chiluka, Cheena Thaana and Parugu in Tamil and Telugu, is now foraying into Malayalam with Mammootty's Maya Bazaar, directed by Thomas Sebastian, an assistant to director Sibi Malayail.

Though her mother tongue is Telugu, Sheela was more into Tamil than Telugu films. She made her debut as a lead star in Telugu with Hari Gopalakrishna Murthy's Seethakoka Chiluka in 2006.

Bollywood actress Tisca Chopra, who played the mother of wonder kid Darsheel Safari in Aamir Khan's Taare Zameen Par, will be one of the two heroines in this Mammootty starrer. The highest-paid villain, Prakash Raj, will handle the negative role. The other cast include Nedumudi Venu, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Innocent, Salim Kumar, etc.

Maya Bazaar, which has already started it shoot at Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, is about a daredevil motorcycle rider who also buys and sells used cars. The film, written by T.A. Razak, is said to be an action entertainer.

Produced by Sachi S. Mangalam under the banner of Aakhil Films, Maya Bazaar will grace theatres this October. Currently, Mammootty is working for Pazhassi Raja and Kutty Shranku.
