Siddharth-Anju tie the knot

Siddharth, son of renowned Malayalam director late Bharathan and National Award winning Malayalam actress K.P.A.C. Lalitha, tied the knot with actor Jagathy Sreekumar's niece Anju on Friday at Guruvayur temple. Anju, a dentist, is the daughter of Jameela Mohan Das and granddaughter of playwright Jagathi N.K. Achari.

After the marriage, K.P.A.C. Lalitha said that it was Bharathan's wish that his son and daughter should be married at Guruvayur temple, since the marriage between Bharathan and Lalitha took place in the same venue. (The marriage of their daughter Sreekutty was also held at Guruvayur temple a few years back.)

Siddharth, who is currently assisting directors Priyadarsan and Jairaj, debuted as an actor with director Kamal's blockbuster Malayalam film Nammal in 2000. After a short career in acting, this young hero stepped in his father's shoes, working behind the camera.
