Sreenivasan is the best writer

Sreenivasan is still basking under the success of his super hit Katha Parayumbol. The movie bagged him the best writer award at the recently-announced Atlas Film Critics' Awards. The actor was also honoured with the special acting award for his stunning performance in Katha Parayumbol and Arabikatha. Adding one more award to his cap is the best writer award in the Vanitha Gallup poll awards, where Katha Parayumbol has been judged as the best film.

Sathyan Anthikkad has been chosen for the best director award for his film, Vinodayatra. The female lead of Vinodayatra, Meera Jasmine, has been chosen for the best actress award for her performance in this film and in Ore Kadal. Mammootty won the best actor for his astounding performance in Big B and Ore Kadal.

Mohanlal has won the special actor award for his performances in Hello and Chota Mumbai. Kalabhavan Mani has been chosen for best villain award for his film, Chota Mumbai and Bhama has been chosen as the best debut artist. Suraj Venjaramoodu gets the best actor award for comic roles.

Manoj Pillai bags the best cinematographer award for Arabikatha. In the music category, the awards include best male singer award for Yesudas, best female singer award for Shwetha, best lyricist award for Anil Panachooran and best music director award for Jayachandran. The awards, chosen by a poll survey, will be given later this month.
