Sureshgopi in a double role in Bhoomi Malayalam

National award winner for best direction in 1994, T.V. Chandran has cast Sureshgopi in a double role in his next film Bhoomi Malayalam, which has begun shooting in Kannur. This is the first time that Sureshgopi is acting in T.V. Chandran"s film.

The film's highlights, in addition to Sureshgopi, will be the five female protagonists around whom the story revolves. Samvrutha Sunil plays the role of a factory worker, Priyanka is an aspiring athlete, Padmapriya is a bold TV journalist and Lakshmi Sharma is a housewife. It is no wonder that T.V. Chandran is weaving a story around female protagonists because several of his earlier movies like Alicinte Anveshanam, Mangamma, Susanna and Padam Onnu: Oru Vilapam were heroine-oriented.

Bhoomi Malayalam will focus on the social development of Kerala from independence till date. Music is handled by Thomas Kottukapally and K.G Jayan handles the camera.The film also has Arun, Govind Padmasuriya, Nedumudi Venu, Irshad, Adnop Chandran and Kalabhavan Navaz, Navya, Kripa, Roselin, Lakshmi Priya, Jasna Jayaraj and Charulatha in the cast.
