In fact, many were not aware of a release named Swarnam. The restrictions enforced by various associations over newspaper advertisements and minimal TV promotions were the actual reason why the movie found it hard to come to public attention. It is observed that the national bandh on the very next day of the release also affected the collections.
Even though it has got a poor response in the box office, the movie, based on a strong script by S. Suresh Babu, has already proved to be one of the best from Kalabhavan Mani and director Venugopan. So, it is high time for the marketing department to wake up and do something urgently.
