Thaha tries his luck with Suresh

Director Thaha, who is famous for his out-an-out comedy movies like Mookkillarajyathu and Ee Parakkum Thalika, is trying his luck in action films. He is all set to direct Suresh Gopi in a new flick named Heylesa.

The film will be scripted jointly by Sai Damodar and director Thaha himself. Suresh Gopi, who is known for acting in action thrillers, is acting under Thaha for the second time in his career. Earlier, Suresh Gopi was featured in Thaha's debut venture Varnam which was a hit. The film Heylesa is termed as an action based comedy thriller. Thaha, adept in making comedies will be mixing humour with action in the right proportion for this film. Also in the cast are Jagathy Sreekumar, Cochin Haneefa, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vijayraghavan and Salimkumar.

Suresh Gopi is known for his explosive roles in police dramas like Ekalavyan, F.I.R. and Commisioner. He became popular through the roles which are larger than life and anti- establishment. He stayed away from cop roles for a while but came back to the arena with Bharathchandran IPS. He won the national Award for Best Actor in 1997 for the role of Kannan Perumalayan in Kaliyattam.
