Mammootty completes Vande Mataram

Vande Mataram, an investigative action thriller with superstar Mammootty and Tamil action hero Arjun in the lead, has completed its shooting. The film is a bilingual project, being made simultaneously in Tamil with the title Aaruvadai.

Vande Mataram, directed by T. Aravind, tells the story of a group of officers protecting the country from the infiltrations of an international terrorist organization. Mammootty plays an officer in the Intelligence Bureau while Arjun plays a Superintendent of Police.

It features two heroines; Sneha opposite Mammootty and Sharadha Arya as Arjun's pair. Deepak J.D. makes his debut as the deadly villain. Other important roles include Jagadish, Jai Akash, Riyaz Khan, Vijayakumar, Rajan P. Dev, Raj Kapoor and Mumtaj.

Produced by Pankaj films Henry, this patriotic action adventure has been made at a whooping budget of 14 crores and will hit theatres on July 4.
