Vivek refuses to act in Kargil

It was the main buzz when news spread about Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi playing the lead role with superstar Mohanlal in Kargil. But now, it has been reported that the actor has refused to take up the role.

"Vivek has already worked with Mohanlal in Company. He was indeed offered this one too. But he's not doing it," the actor's new publicist Dale Bhagwagar said. Vivek won the best debut actor award for his performance in Company, directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

Just like his previous directorial ventures Keerthi Chakra and Mission 90 Days, Major Ravi's Kargil depicts a story based on his personal experiences surrounding the army operations in Kargil. The movie is expected to be released during Onam.

Kargil is produced by Santhosh Damodharan under the banner of Damor Films.
