All eyes were set on the Oscar winner A.R. Rahman as he was honoured during a reception organized before his music concert 'Jai Ho' at the Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode on Sunday. He was honoured by the State government with a memento presented by Elamanam Karim, the Industries Minister, Benoy Viswom, the Forest Minister and N.K. Premachandran, the Water Resources Minister.
Addressing the gathering Rahman said, "I am happy to be in Kerala and I request the support from all of you for the evening concert."
Mayor M. Bhaskaran also gifted a memento to Rahman. District Collector P.B. Salim delivered his vote of thanks to Rahman on behalf of the State and district of Kozhikode.
