Kamal teams with Dileep for Aagathan

Eminent filmmaker Kamal is coming up with his next Malayalam movie Aagathan with Dileep. The movie which was earlier titled as Athithi has been renamed as Aagathan. The movie features Dileep along with Telugu actress Charmi. Another speciality is that Tamil actor Sathyaraj and actress Zarina Wahab would also be playing key roles in the movie.

Kamal's Aagathan has been through many tough times. Kamal and Kalavoor Ravikumar had planned this project years back and they had plans to rope in the late actress Soundarya and also Prithviraj in a key role. However the actress met with an untimely death and now the filmmaker has revived the project and has opted for Dileep instead of Prithviraj. Dileep and Kamal had last worked together in the film Pachakkuthira, which however did not succeed at the box office. So also while Mamta Mohandas was to feature as the lead heroine, due to her illness, Charmi has landed in that role.

Aagathan which blends love and revenge will see Dileep in the role of an IT professional by name Gautham Menon. The shooting would progress in Bangalore, Ooty, Coorg and Kashmir.
