Mammootty still searching for a son

Superstar Mammootty is set to report on the sets of his forthcoming family thriller Daddy Cool by the end of this week. Scripted and directed by debutante Ashique Abu, who was assistant to veteran director Kamal, Daddy Cool narrates the story of a cricket-loving police officer named Antony Simon (Mammootty) and his son. Richa Pallod of Shahjahan fame is the heroine.

Earlier, Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth, known for his antics on the cricket field, was offered the role of Mammootty's son and Sreesanth's participation in this film is yet to be confirmed. It is heard that the makers are still on the lookout for a boy to play the son.

In Daddy Cool, Richa Pallod appears as Annie, wife of Mammootty. Indrajith and Kalabhavan Mani play key roles in this film produced by Alvin Antony and Khader Mayyazhi under the banner of Wall Green Productions.

Songs, penned by Anil Panachooran, have been set to tune by Bijibal. Sameer Thahir, who had earlier cranked the camera for Big B, will handle the camera. Daddy Cool will be Mammootty"s midsummer release.
