Dileep and Sreenivasan caught in a mess

The shoot of director Ranjit Shankar's debut directorial venture Passenger, starring veteran actor-director Sreenivasan and comedian-turned-hero Dileep in lead roles, is progressing at a brisk pace in Guruvayoor. Produced by S.P. Pillai and Sankaran Kutty under the banner of Vijay Combines, Passenger is a family entertainer with a focus on humour.

Mamtha and Lakshmi Sharma are the heroines. Mamta plays the role of Anuradha Nandhan, news producer of a popular TV channel. Dileep will be seen in the role of advocate Nandan Menon, her husband. Sreenivasan's role in the film is Sathyanath, who travels to his work every day in a local passenger train from a small town. Nandan Menon and Sathyanath meet each other in the train, leading to an interesting twist in the story.

The movie also features Jagathy Sreekumar, Nedumudi Venu, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Sona Nair and Ruby in other important roles. Music director Bijibal, who shot to fame in 2007 through his compositions in Lal Jose's Arabikatha, has set music to lyrics written by Anil Panachooran. P. Sukumaran handles the camera. Passenger will be released as a summer special by Central Pictures on May 7.
