Sibi Malayil is back with a bang

After taking a small break from making films, veteran Malayalm director Sibi Malayil is back with a Mohanlal starrer which will mark his reunion with veteran scriptwriter and director Lohithadas. It will be Mohanlal-Sibi Malayil's 12th film together. The movie is expected to begin soon.

Their previous movies were Doore Doore Oru Koodu Koottam (1986), Kireedam (1989), Dasharatham (1989), His Highness Abdullah (1990), Dhanam (1991), Bharatham (1991), Maya Mayooram (1993), Chenkol (1993), Ustaad (1999), Devadoothan (2000) and Flash (2007).

According to some other sources, Sibi Malayil will also direct another film with Mammootty in the lead. Discussions are on for this project. K. Gireesh Kumar of super hit Veruthe Oru Bharya fame will pen the script. This will be the eighth film from the Mammootty-Sibi duo, the previous ones being Rareeram (1986), Thaniyavarthanam (1987), Vicharana (1988), August 1 (1988), Mudra (1989), Parampara (1990) and Sagaram Sakshi (1994).

Meanwhile, Sibi Malayil's latest Kalabhavan Mani starrer Aayirathil Oruvan has earned plenty of good reviews for Kalabhavan Mani's brilliant performance and impressive script by T.A. Razak. Made in 2001, the film was released recently.
