Jayaram's forthcoming Samasathakeralam P.O., directed by Bibin Prabhakar, former assistant to directors Ranjith, Shaji Kailas and Padmakumar, has completed its entire shooting in and around Thodupuzha. The actor is pinning high hopes on this film, which is scripted by K. Gireesh Kumar of Veruthe Oru Bharya, Jayaram's much-celebrated comeback film in 2008.

Samasathakeralam P.O. is a family-based entertainer in which Jayaram plays the role of a Gandhian named Prabhakaran, who dares to question the wrongdoings of both the ruling party as well as the opposition in Thonnoorkkara village. The film revolves around some surprising happenings in Prabhakaran's life.

Actress Priyanka of the critically-acclaimed Veyyil (Tamil) and newcomer Sera are the heroines. Also in the cast are Jagathy Sreekumar, Jagadish, Janardhanan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Salim Kumar, Kalabhavan, Shaju, Prajodh, Ershad and others.

M. Jayachandran has set music to lyrics written by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma. Rajaratnam wields the camera while Ranjan Abraham handles the editing. Produced by Howley Pottoor under the banner of Dream Team Productions, the film is expected to release by January end.

Meanwhile, Jayaram will soon don a double role in an untitled film directed by veteran K. Madhu (maker of many investigative thrillers in Malayalam) and scripted by S.N. Swamy, the man behind the script of Mohanlal's upcoming Sagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded. The shooing will start soon. In the meantime, Jayaram will also work on ace director Sathyan Anthikkad's untitled film, which is expected to start rolling from February 1 in Allapuzha.
