Movies to cheer up summer hols

The Malayalam film industry, which times the release of its films during different seasons, is gearing up for the summer vacations of 2009. Mohanlal starrer Sagar alias Jackie will be releasing on March 26, a day after the SSLC exams end. Suresh Gopi"s cop movie IG will be released on April 3. Another film to watch during the holidays is To Harihar Nagar, the much anticipated sequel to In Harihar Nagar.

Sagar alias Jackie is a sequel to the super hit movie Irupatham Noottandu of the 80"s; Mohanlal played an underworld don in this film, one of the biggest grossers of the decade.

Mammootty also has two releases (Pattanathil Bhootham and Vandematharam) coming up but the release dates have not been announced.
