Mammootty to endorse Volleyball

If superstar Mohanlal is interested in cricket, then our megastar Mammootty is crazy about Volleyball. As per news sources Mammootty has decided to endorse Volleyball in the state. He will now on be seen as the brand ambassador of the Kerala Volleyball League (KVL). This former Volleyball player will give a star status to this league which is to be held in Kozhikode from 20 to 28 February 2010.

The enthusiastic star was heard saying, “I was once a volleyball player during my college days. Volleyball is extremely popular, visually appealing and attracts crowds. Moreover, Indian volleyball standards are quite high. Sports and entertainment always go hand in hand and KVL will definitely become the next big blockbuster of Kerala"

It is considered that KVL will be along the same lines of IPL in India. There will be six franchised district teams taking part in a round robin format, with two lead teams playing the finals. This tournament to be run by the SportzConsult, a Mumbai based sports Management Company, will open bidding for the franchisee teams in November in Kochi, Kerala.
