Mammootty, the goonda in Chattambinadu

Mammootty and his super hit Thommanum Makkalum and Mayavi director Shafi are together again in all out action entertainer Chattambinadu. Slated to be a Christmas release, Chattambinadu has Mammootty in the role of a planter Virendra Mallaya, who can be rightly termed as a goonda with 37 criminal cases against him.

The movie moves on to Chembanadu in Karnataka, where Mallaya intends to buy a coffee plantation. However the place is full of criminals, who virtually control the law and order in the place and can be truly described as the law makers in the area. Virendra Mallaya who has come the hard way takes on the criminals and try to bring things under control.

Chattambinadu to be produced under Mammootty"s own banner, Playhouse will also be special for the the Malayalam accent that Mammootty will be using in the film. According to filmmaker Shafi, “Mammooka will be speaking in Malayalam with a heavy Kannada accent and will be having a new look in this film." This Christmas release will have Mukesh in a key role as well.
