Mamta sings; the song is superhit

In Tamil film Villu, the song "Daddy Mummy veettil ella, thada poda yaarum illai....." has become a super hit. Another speciality of this super hit song is that it was sung by two Malayalees. The singers are Naveen Madhav, son of the late music director Raveendran Master and actress Mamta Mohandas. Vijay and Nayantara appear in the song sequence. The song has become so popular that it is heard everywhere including stage programmes, through mobile phones and ipods.

The music director of the song Devisree Prasad chanced upon Mamta singing in a film set in her leisure hours and made her sing in one of the films. Though Mamta has learned classical music, she has proved that she could do fast numbers too. Naveen Madhav's other hits are "Aadugadaa enne sutri.." in Pokiri and 'my name is Billa...'' in the film Billa.
