Mohanlal takes after Mammootty in sports

Megastar Mammootty is to endorse Volleyball as the brand ambassador of the Kerala Volleyball League and Mohanlal has decided to take after him. Well, this sounds a bit funny as well as confusing. Earlier we had heard that Mammootty was taking after Mohanlal and this piece of news proves it the other way round. But what ever said and done, Mohanlal has been chosen as the “goodwill ambassador of Kerala State athletics".

While everyone might be expecting a lot of sparks to fly, Mammootty has decided to clear all airs and has bluntly said, “As we are different personalities with different likes and dislikes, we decided to promote different events. Please don't compare what we do in public or on screen".

Mohanlal was excited and said, “I"m very happy to be part of the sport in a state which had produced international stars." News is also making the rounds that Mohanlal and Priyadarshan are also planning to bid for a new cricket team for 2010 IPL. This has come in the wake of the BCCI planning to increase the number of IPL teams. Our superstar has also confirmed this news, “Yes we are bidding for a Kerala IPL team, if the price is right and we win the bid."
