Mohanlal celebrates birthday without fanfare

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal celebrated his 49th birthday on Tuesday in a hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram. There was not much fanfare this time and hardly any celebrations as his father-in-law has passed away recently. Mohanlal who is a veteran of more than 300 films wanted to avoid celebrations because saddened by his father-in-law's demise.

The cast and the crew of the movie Alexander The Great organised a cake cutting ceremony for the veteran actor. The movie is being produced by V.B.K Menon and directed by Murali Nagavally and shooting is expected to finish by the end of June. Apart from Alexander The Great, Mohanlal is also busy with his multi-lingual Unnaipol Oruvan with Tamil superstar Kamal Hassan.
