Mohanlal to introduce Mammootty's Pazhassi Raja

Pazhassi Raja, the historical movie is slated to take Malayalam cinema to the great heights of World cinema. If the Mammootty, Hariharan, M T Vasudevan and Resul Pookutty team was not enough, then we have superstar Mohanlal also coming forward to join the team. This is indeed a huge bonanza! Pazhassi Raja which has evolved as a result of immense research and studies will be introduced to the audiences by Mohanlal.

Mohanlal will introduce the importance of Pazhassi Raja in the Indian freedom struggle and the role that he has played to the audiences. Apart from this he will also present before the audiences the wonderful coterie of artistes who have come forward for this venture, like Hariharan, M T Vasudevan, Mammootty, Ilayaraja and Resul Pookutty. The movie would start only after this. If sources are to be believed, then this has been done to draw the Mohanlal fans also to the theatres.

Oscar winner Resul Pookutty claims that the movie has been made along the lines of classical Hollywood movies. Apart from Malayalam, the movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English in 560 theatres. Mammootty is definitely entering into the much cherished circle hitherto adorned by Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan and Kamal Hassan.

The Pazhassi Raja budget has also evoked much suspense. The 8 crore project is estimated to have been finished on a budget of 12 crores as per the media, while the national reports claim that a whopping 26 crores have been spent by Gokulam films.
