Passenger to strike stations on May 7

Debutant writer-director Ranjit Sankar's Passenger, a family entertainer with a focus on humour, starring veteran actor-director Sreenivasan and comedian-turned-hero Dileep together for the first time, will be released as a summer special by Central Pictures on May 7. The shooting has started in and around Kochi, Shornur and Guruvayoor.

Satyanath is an employee in an export company in Kochi. He travels to and fro by train for work. One day during his journey he comes across advocate Nandan Menon, who is on his way to Guruvayoor. Another day Nandan Menon meet with an accident and Sathyanath helps him. Thus they become good friends. Nandan Menon's wife Anuradha is working with one of the channels.

Sreenivasan dons the role of Sathyanath, Dileep as Nandan and Mamta as his wife Anuradha. They were supported by Jagathy, Kalabhavan Mani, Maniyanpillai Raju, Harisree Asokann, Anoop Menon, ManiKuttan, Sona Nair, Lakshmi Sarma, Lakshmi Krishna Moorthy and others. The film has Mamta Mohandas making a comeback as heroine after a small gap. Mamta's other Malayalam film (Musafir) with Rahman as hero, has been completed.

Anil Panachooran is the lyricist and Biji Bal has scored the music. P.Sukumar is wielding the camera. Under the banner of Vijay Combines S.C.Pillai is producing the film. Locations are Kochi, Guruvayoor and Shornur.
