Nayantara, it's better late than never!

Nayantara, the sensational Queen is finally ready to yield and has conceded to slash her pay considerably. Some may attribute it to the actress' growing awareness of the global melt down, while may withing the film field, equivocally pronounce that in the face of decreasing offers and diminishing star value our queen had to step down, lest she may suffer a deadly fall.

Nayantara who used command a whopping sum of 1 crore per movie, before signing the dotted line, has given in to the mounting pressures by expressing her willingness to work for 65 lakhs. She made this change for the Telugu movie Anjaneyulu opposite Ravi Teja.

However we do have to admit that she is not one with a heart of stone. For her mother tongue Malayalam, the actress had earlier itself made some concessions. She had worked in the Dileep starrer Bodyguard by director Siddique for a reasonable amount.

Nayan however had to pay a price for her change of mind. Kuselan and Satyam debacles have proferred her with good lessons and the actress has learnt the rules of the game. As rightly said – It's better late than never.
