Padmapriya, disappointed with Tamil filmmakers?

Padmapriya is known for her simplicity and sensibility, so it was no wonder when the actress voiced her concern over the Tamil filmmakers unwillingness to make use of the Malayalam film artistes. She said this to the media at the promotional meet of her latest Malayalam movie Kaanakanmani, “While Malayalam directors are providing openings to the talent bank of Kollywood, it is not reciprocated."

However Padmapriya does act in Tamil movies like her stunning performance in the recently released Tamil movie Pokkisham by Cheran. Malayalam filmmakers are definitely giving opportunities to Tamil artistes like Sarath Kumar in Pazhassi Raja, Pasupathy in Vairam and so on, but the reverse happens only on in small numbers. This is indeed a matter concern, which the actress has pointed out.
