Pathram 2: A Sequel to Pathram

If 10 years back, Pathram foregrounded the firebrand newspaper reporter taking on the system getting rid of its maladies, then what do we expect from Pathram 2. Well you heard it right. Renji Panikkar is planning a sequel for the political thriller Pathram directed by Joshy and released way back in 1999.

The fast paced thriller revolutionized the notion of a political drama, which cleverly integrated riveting dialogues, racy action, sentiments and satires all rolled into one. Sureshgopi breathed life into the central character supported by Manju Warrier, Biju Menon and N F Varghese.

Renji Panikkar plans a sequel which will enhance the beauty of the prequel all the more, with none other than Sureshgopi in the lead role. In Pathram 2 he would be seen in the role of the Managing Editor of the paper where he had worked as a reporter earlier. Ashish Vidyarthi, would be the villain in the story, making his presence as a corrupt politician, with our hero forced to take on the Government itself.

The lead heroine and others in the castare yet to be decided. Raji Panikkar's Pathram 2 will turn unravel the nefarious politics and its vicious means. The count down has already begun
