Malayalam
movie
Pazhassi
Raja
by
hit
team
MT
Vasudevan
and
Hariharan
has
taken
over
the
screens
in
Kerala
by
a
storm.
The
movie
with
its
Rs
1.53
crore
collection
on
its
opening
day
has
set
a
new
record
in
the
history
of
Malayalam
cinema.
What
has
been
even
encouraging
has
been
that
the
movie
has
repeated
this
historic
feat
in
its
successive
days
of
run
as
well.
An
elated
producer
Gokulam
Praveen
was
heard
saying,
“We
are
very
happy
with
the
film
and
its
gargantuan
opening,
which
also
justified
our
faith
in
the
team." It
is
expected
to
have
crossed
the
mark
of
4
crores
in
its
first
three
days
from
nearly
125
theatres
where
it
was
released
on
October
16.
So
too
the
satellite
rights
have
touched
an
all
time
high
of
2.6
crores
for
any
Malayalam
movie.
Pazhassi
Raja
has
set
a
new
standard
in
the
Malayalam
film
industry
with
its
Hollywood
style
of
film-making
and
standard
at
par
with
that
of
the
West.
Mammotty,
Sarath
Kumar
and
Manoj
K
Jayan
deserve
special
mention
for
their
acting
prowess
and
it
goes
without
saying
that
the
rest
of
the
crew
have
only
augmented
the
success
quotient.
The
Tamil
version
will
strike
the
screens
on
the
30th
of
this
month
in
all
the
major
centres
in
Tamil
Nadu.
The
movie
has
a
long
way
and
success
is
awaiting
it
at
every
doorstep.
