Film Fraternity honours 'Oscar Kutty'

Malayalam film fraternity bestowed their love and affection upon Resul Pookutty, who had brought the Oscar award for Slumdog Millionaire to Kerala, in a function to honour him conducted at the Durbar Hall Ground, Kochi on Wednesday. The organisations of Malayalam film industry jointly honoured the Oscar Kutty' of Kerala.

Resul was led to the ground in an open vehicle from the office of Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce. Mammooty, Dileep, Sibi Malayil, Rajiv Anchal, Fazal Gafoor, Hari Kumar, Liberty Basheer, V. Mohanan, Siad Kokker and office bearers of various organisations felicitated him. Malayalam film Technicians association also gave him the distinguished membership.

Resul Pookuty in his reply said, that he was willing to share the live recording technique for the new generation in the Malayalam cinema industry in association with the cultural department of Kerala Government. He added, “ I have reached this area with the energy given by Malayalam films, so this award is meant for Malayalam cinema."
