Oscar winner Resul Pookutty has been roped in to give the magical touch to the Malayalam movie Pazhassi Raja with the Mammootty-Hariharan- M.T Vasudevan Nair in the helm. At a press meeting held in Chennai, the producers of the film Sree Gokulam Gopalan and his son Praveen made public the news of Resul Pookutty's contribution in the forthcoming days. This big budget movie which was originally planned in Malayalam will have its versions in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Resul Pookutty was evidently busy with two big Bollywood movies and one Hollywood film. But upon a special request put in by Mammootty he agreed to associate with the movie and chip in his best as well.

Says an elated Resul: "For me it is an emotional moment to be part of a M.T Vasudevan Nair-Hariharan- Mammootty project. Right from my school days in Kollam I have been seeing their films and loved Vadakkan Veeragatha. Hariharan showed me some rushes of Pazhassi Raja, which impressed me and looked well crafted, that made me take up the assignment."

According to a relevant source the key battle scenes in the film will now be recreated using Resul's technical expertise. With Resul's contribution this classic will definitely have a magnum opus image and the sound is all set to soar to greater heights.
